The Waterford New Communities Network (WNCN) is pleased to share the outcomes of our first Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in February 2025. This milestone event marked a significant step in strengthening our structure and governance to better support migrant communities in Waterford.
Newly Appointed Executive Officers
The AGM confirmed the appointment of the following Executive Officers:

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Officer: Flor O’Mahony

Committees & Teams Established
To ensure smooth operations and effective program delivery, the AGM approved several teams, each focused on key areas. These include the:
- Grants & Funding Team,
- Programs,
- Projects & Events Team,
- Communications Team,
- Marketing Team,
- WNCN Ambassadors and
- the Advisory Board.
WNCN Action Plan 2025
During the AGM, members also agreed on the WNCN Action Plan 2025, outlining key priorities and initiatives to further our mission of inclusion, empowerment, and advocacy for migrant communities. This plan will guide our activities and ensure a strategic approach to addressing the needs of our community.
This AGM reaffirmed our commitment to empowering, connecting, and advocating for migrant communities in Waterford. We look forward to working together to build a stronger, more inclusive community.
